« Vegas Break | Home | Memo to Jessica »

Welcome Back to L.A.

Part of: Gossip , Hollywood , Television , Travel

Help me!!! I’m back from Vegas and DK has come to the rescue by finishing my homemade truffle gifts. I’ve had too many glasses of Veuve and have been on and off sick for like a week. I also had too much Holiday shopping to finish today for DK. It sucks when you actually find "the one" and really care about each and every gift you get him. Fuck me!! I hate consumerism and love things at the same time. I wish I could just tie a ribbon around myself for DK’s holiday gift, but I still feel the need to get the perfect presents. They bring happiness to one’s face --for like 5 seconds of time—and I long to see that "oh my god!!!" look on DK’s face. DK won’t act that way if he doesn’t love something. Just like he can’t lie to me—true love is the best. Ok, that’s enough. Bobby Brown is on in the background and he’s telling his smart older daughter at their Christmas? party that he’s been Santa Claus for the last 19 years. WTF? She’s not 19. I really don’t understand how alleged (obvious) substance abusers like Bobby Brown and Whitney can get along in life. But Anna Nicole does. I just don’t have faith in myself I guess, but even if I tried I couldn’t be a drug addict. Omigod…now I seriously am going to have a breakdown. I used to like "Nip/Tuck"….a lot. DK and I stopped taping it a few weeks ago, but taped the finale. The finale makes "Desperate Housewives" seem like a drama. Come on "Nip/Tuck"….your show is on FX yet you have to end it like a cheesy Hollywood film. "It’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen," said DK. I’m coming off my buzz now, but even with the remnants of it, I couldn’t swallow that ending. I want to dig my fingernails into my flesh, but DK is restraining me from doing so. That last episode got the highest ratings for any FX show ever. Oh, and for film: Do not see "Syriana." It sucks big time. George Clooney + Steven Soderberg = the worst pretentious shit that really makes no sense---ever. Why didn’t I learn from "Solaris?" (And why do they call their production company Section 8*? I doubt that they donate any of its profits to Section 8 housing, unless Clooney is going to allow low-income housing in his new casino-- so WTF???) The person who edited the trailer for "Syriana" should win an Academy Award, though—BTW. I need to take a sleeping pill and/or a Xanax right now, excuse me.

*The Section 8 program is designed to increase the housing choices available to very low-income households by making privately-owned rental housing affordable to them. It provides rent subsidies, either rental certificates or vouchers, on behalf of eligible tenants. These subsidies usually equal the difference between 30 percent of the household's adjusted income and the HUD-approved fair market rent (for certificates) or the PHA-approved payment standard (for vouchers).
