"Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able." (Esquire- Oct. '06)

Even though I'm pretty positive that Angie came up with that idea, it's a cool political statement.

....and I am pretty sure that Angie got that stance from her pal @ Witness.org, Gillian Caldwell. She was once quoted saying almost the exact same thing in a New York newspaper.

I think there are a few other couples that have never tied the knot for similar reasons. But none come to mind.

Though, just to be devil's advocate, weren't they both previously married?

Huh. I guess that's not the case after all, at least for most of those I was struggling to think of:

I feel much less cynical now than when I was imagining it being trendy.

How stupid and typically self-centered this is. They actually think the world cares if they get married?? Aren't they so super-altruistic!!!

Gag me.

It's a recycled statement. Charlize Theron made this proclamation about herself and boyfriend Stuart Townsend 2 years back. Lame.

love!
