The Gap has been using images of Audrey Hepburn in Funny Face to promote its skinny black jeans and all black look. I was shocked to see the above images in the window display of a local Gap. I like the Gap for basics and of course love Audrey Hepburn, but don't like them together. Audrey Hepburn's son, Sean Ferrer, allowed the Gap to use a few images of Hepburn for its campaign with a significant donation to be made to the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. At least the money goes to a good cause that was close to Audrey's heart. I do wish I had enough money to buy the iconic black Givenchy dress she wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's. The dress was gifted to a children's charity by Givenchy. This charity, City of Joy Aid, will receive the proceeds from the Christie's auction. It’s surprising that the dress is only expected to fetch $130,000. Maybe Jessica Simpson will buy it since she's been so fond of black lately. No, that can’t happen. If a Hollywood starlet does buy the dress, I’ll have to kill myself.

That was an odd little juxtaposition...
